David Sorkin is a corporate attorney and executive best known for serving as General Counsel and later Chief Legal Officer of KKR & Co. Inc., a global investment firm offering alternative asset management, capital markets, and insurance solutions.( From 2007 to 2023 he oversaw KKR’s worldwide legal, compliance, enterprise risk, tax, and internal audit functions and was a key architect of the legal strategy behind KKR’s evolution from a private equity partnership to a publicly traded asset management company, including its 2010 IPO.( As an insider at KKR, he has held senior roles including member, general counsel and secretary of KKR & Co. and has executed multiple reported trades in KKR stock in recent years.(
